Overview
Freemasons are strongly encouraged to be active in their community believing that the principles of co-operation, caring and trust can best be demonstrated by actions. This community involvement is reflected at the local level by Masonic involvement in community fairs and festivals, local schools and community centres and on a state-wide level through specific projects co-ordinated by the United Grand Lodge of Victoria. Such state-wide projects include:

The Ionic coaching Service
Is a not for Profit volunteer organisation administered by Victorian Freemasons that tutors students in English and Mathematics.

The Freemasons Task Force
Is a volunteer community-needs response group that assists in bringing assorted projects to completion, coordinated and staffed by Freemasons in the community.

The Royal Freemasons Homes of Victoria
The Royal Freemasons Homes is one of the oldest aged Care providers in Victoria offering residence, palliative care and other specialised services state-wide.

Victorian Masonic Motorcycling Association
A Motorcycle enthusiast club for Freemasons, their families and interested members of the public that conducts a considerable amount of charity work through out the state.

The Ring pull project
A recycling project co-ordinated state-wide by Freemasons Victoria collecting ring pulls from aluminium cans for use in prosthetic limbs.

Working Tools for East Timor
A State-wide project co-ordinated through Freemasons Victoria collecting tools for donation to assist in rebuilding efforts in East Timor after the war.

And many other projects
Freemasons have a wide social network throughout Victoria supported by many clubs, teams and associations.
